Storm Spotter Training at Sinclair

Sinclair College will host Storm Spotter Training Tuesday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. presented by the Wilmington Office of the National Weather Service (NWS).

Classes are free and open to the public but advanced registration is required.  You do not need to be a resident of the county in which the presentation is being held in order to attend.  The presentation will last 1.5 to 2 hours and will be led by a National Weather Service meteorologist who will discuss techniques and safety for severe weather spotting.  Once you complete this class, you will be an officially trained spotter and able to report severe weather to your NWS office.

The training will be held in Building 19 (Room 19-103) at Sinclair College.  Building 19 is located at 219 South Wilkinson Street, Dayton, Ohio, 45402 (at the NE corner of Wilkinson Street and Court Street).  Free parking is available across the street in Parking Lot I at the SE corner of Wilkinson Street and Court Street.

To register for this class, contact Mike Kemper, the Safety Coordinator at Sinclair College at (937) 512-2184 or e-mail him at michael.kemper@sinclair.edu.  There will be limited seating so early registration is recommended.
