Thursday, September 17, 2020 is the 5th Annual International Day of Listening (IDL). One doesn't have to look far to find innumerable references and studies that discuss the importance of effective listening skills in leadership, business and personal relationships.

The Servant Leader and Empathetic Listening
Presented by Tom Roberts, Ohio Fellows Advisor

According to Robert Greenleaf, “The servant-leader is servant first...It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve...Then conscious choice brings one to inspire to lead.” There are 10 characteristics of the servant-leader. The first two characteristics, listening and empathy, are important skills for leaders. Join Tom Roberts as he discusses how leaders can become empathetic listeners.
