Adjunct Faculty Certification Course

The Center for Teaching and Learning is again offering a section of the Adjunct Faculty Certification Course prior to the start of the Fall 2019 semester. Completion of this certification course and teaching a cumulative total of 9 payload hours is required for an adjunct to request the rank of Lecturer II (a separate process from the AFCC).

At the all-day session, the facilitators will thoroughly explain all the requirements for completing this course. As a member of this certification course, here are the items to which you are agreeing:

  1. Register and attend the session in its entirety;
  2. Sign the attendance roster;
  3. Read the online material, take and pass the quizzes within 5 weeks of the session date. Access to the online course shell will begin on the session date;
  4. Make arrangements to observe a full-time faculty member facilitating a live class session;
  5. Submit an online Peer Review request for a member of the CTL Peer Review team to peer review you during a live class session. A follow-up meeting to discuss the reviewer's feedback is required.
