Sinclair Men Down OSU - Lima


Dayton, OH – Sinclair Men's basketball decided to get back to old ways – score a bunch of points. Facing Ohio State–Lima, The Tartan Pride put together a good first half of basketball shooting 49 percent from the field and taking a 46-32 advantage at the end of 20 minutes.

Sinclair cooled off a bit in the second half and had a couple more turnovers than Head Coach Jeff Price wanted but in the end, The Pride came out on top by a score of 95-70.

Leading the way for Sinclair was Charlie Byers (Freshmen from Moeller H.S.) who achieved his first triple-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 17 assists. Also playing key roles in tonight's victory were Deon Banks (Sophomore, Warren Central H.S) with a double-double; 10 points and 15 rebounds and Jabriel Coaston (Freshmen, Roger Bacon H.S.) with 20 points to lead all scorers. And Freshmen Gavin Schuman out of Roger Bacon High School added 18 points. A total team effort by The Pride tonight. The Tartan Pride improved to 12-6 overall and stand at 0-1 in OCCAC play.

Sinclair's next home game will be on Saturday, January 28, as both Men and Women play OCCAC opponent Lakeland College from the Cleveland area.

Game Time on Saturday will be 2:00 PM. The games will be played at the downtown campus in Building 8.
