Sinclair (11-1/0-0) Men’s Basketball holds off Wittenberg University JV (3-4/0-0) 88-72.
Springfield, OH – Sinclair Men’s Basketball team won its 7th straight road game by beating the host Wittenberg University JV 88-72.
In the last game of a 7 game road swing and the last game before the Christmas break, the pride held on to defeat the host Tigers 88-72. Sinclair had to battle through early foul trouble from two starters (Vest & Clardy), and a Wittenberg team that got hot from the 3 point line late in the game to secure win number 11. The Pride played well offensively shooting 52% from the field and 47% from the 3 point line, along with only 11 turnovers and a + 9 rebounding margin. Defensively they held the Tigers in check, except for all but a 6 minute stretch late in the second half when the home team hit on 4 of 7 three point shots to bring the game within reach. Sophomore Forward Jason Clardy (6-7/ Indianapolis, IN) scored a game high 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds after spending most of the first half on the bench with foul trouble.
The Sinclair Men’s team will finally return home on Tuesday the 29th of December (7:30pm) to take on Ohio University – Chillicothe. This will end a run of 7 straight road games that started back on November 28th in which the Pride went 7-0.
