Sinclair (7-1/0-0) Men’s Basketball wins on the road against Penn in the Palestra (5-2/0-0) 79-58
Philadelphia, PA – Sinclair Men’s Basketball team traveled to the famed Palestra on Tuesday night, home of the Penn Quakers and Philly’s Big 5 to take on an Ivy League non-conference opponent – the University of Pennsylvania JV team.
Playing a tight first half, both team shot the ball poorly from the field. Putting together a late first half run, Sinclair rallied to take a 37-30 half time lead into the break. Using home court advantage and more experienced players, the Penn Quakers mounted an early second half charge to take 2 point lead within the first 5 minutes of the second half. Scoring a game high 18 points, Sophomore Forward Jason Clardy (6-7/Indianapolis, IN) powered his way around the paint, Playing all 13 players, Sinclair once again wore the opponent down using size, athleticism and numbers to pull away out to a double figure final margin.
Head Coach, Jeff Price, earned his 100th victory at Sinclair with the 79-58 win.
