Academic Resource Center (ARC)

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) at Sinclair provides students with math and English remediation in preparation for the Accuplacer placement test. A student may choose to utilize the ARC prior to taking the Accuplacer the first time; or may be referred to the ARC by the Testing Center or their Academic Advisor. For those choosing to re-take the test, a prescriptive online curriculum is assigned, and once complete a student will receive a voucher for a free Accuplacer re-test.

Who should utilize the ARC?

  • Individuals preparing to take the Accuplacer for the first time
  • Individuals preparing to retake the Accuplacer
  • Individuals wanting to review basic Math, Reading and Writing skills
  • Individuals preparing for the GED prior to enrolling at Sinclair

  • Library (upper level)—Room 7001

Hours of Operation

  • Monday/Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Noon – 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Noon – 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. – Noon

GED

In collaboration with Miami Valley CTC, GED courses are held in the ARC for those preparing to enroll at Sinclair. For more information please contact Project Read at 937-461-7323.
