My name is Christian Cooper, and I am honored to serve as the Secretary General for DAYMUNC XXIX. I completed my undergraduate studies at Wright State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. I am currently a Juris Doctor Candidate at the Antonin Scalia Law School of George Mason University studying National Security Law and Immigration Law. I also work part-time as a Title IX Consultant and intern with the Office of International Affairs at the Department of Justice.

This is my sixth year as a Model United Nations (MUN) participant! At the National MUN Conference in New York City, I have represented Italy on the General Assembly Second Committee and Turkey on the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND). At DAYMUNC, I have represented Spain on CND and Bolivia on the Simulated Security Council (SimSec). Additionally, I directed the Security Council and SimSec at DAYMUNC, as well as served as the Deputy Secretary-General during a worldwide pandemic under the tremendous leadership of former Secretary-General Crystal Burns-Wicklund. Lastly, I was honored to be a Co-Head Delegate for my undergraduate university.

MUN has shaped me into the person I am today. The connections and knowledge you gain from MUN are everlasting and important in any career path. I am excited to work with all of you and make DAYMUNC XXIX the best DAYMUNC yet!

Warmest Regards,

Christian J. Cooper
Secretary General
