Support and Training for your Success

Learning Technologies provides support for Sinclair's faculty and staff in many ways, including workshops, drop-in support, maintaining the faculty support line, or providing tips and tricks for using eLearn. In partnership with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), support and development opportunities are critical to the mission of Sinclair and the eLearning Division.

For all eLearn support, we recommend you first access the eLearn Hub Shell. It has training, coordinator information, news and announcements, and other resources that can help any eLearn user. If you have questions or are unable to access the Hub, please see the section below for information.

+   Academic Classroom Technology

Contact Info: IT HelpDesk or IT Self-Service or call: 937-512-HELP (4357).

Services Provided: Support and troubleshooting for technology within physical classrooms. NOTE: This is not an eLearning Division service.

+   D2L Brightspace User Community

Contact Info: Brightspace Community.

Services Provided: D2L (makers of Brightspace/eLearn) provide a number of tools to learn more detailed information on the system. Also includes the Product Idea Exchange (PIE) where new ideas and fixes are voted on. Requires a separate account.

+   eLearn Faculty Support 

Contact Info: Faculty Support Zoom Room or call: 937-512-2016. Faculty can also drop in to Building 7 Second Floor.

Services Provided: eLearn technical support, questions, and reporting of problems with eLearn systems. Drop-in services for ‘quick questions’ or individual eLearn support assistance.

+   eLearn Hub - access or questions

Contact Info: eLearn Hub (Professional Development).

Services Provided: Includes eLearn training (Levels 1 and 2), Accessibility Training, Faculty Bootcamp, Course Coordinator Resources, D2L Resources, and more.

Faculty are automatically enrolled into the eLearn Hub; if you are unable to locate this shell in eLearn, contact the Faculty Support Line. 

+   Equipment Loans and Support

Services Provided: Reservations, issuance and collection, consultation, technical support, and other services for loaned equipment or hardware and software.

+   Faculty eLearn Communities

Contact Info: Jennifer Davis

Services Provided: Communities available include:

  • Quality Matters (QM) Community
+   Learning Technology Coaching

Services Provided: Consultations and tutorials are available on incorporating technology into the learning environment in online, face-to-face, blended, and other modalities.

+   Multimedia Lab Reservations

Services Provided: Learn about self-serve faculty multimedia opportunities or book a reservation for the lab located in Building 6, Room 6342.

+   Multimedia Planning or Design

Contact Info: Greg Deye or call: 937-512-3258.

Services Provided: Faculty inquiries regarding multimedia design and production services for use in courses.
