eLearning Compliance

The Department of eLearning Compliance oversees all regulations and policies pertinent to distance learning at Sinclair. The manager of Distance Education and eLearning Compliance oversees State Authorization regulations that govern distance education courses and out-of-state learning placements. Please visit the State Authorization page to learn more baout out-of-state eligibility for coursework, learning placements, and professional licensure programs for Sinclair students. 

eLearning and distance education regulations come from many sources including: 

  • State Law
  • Federal Law and Administrative Policies 
  • Higher Education accrediting bodies such as HLC 

The department also supports peripheral efforts with compliance in mind. 

Sinclair is a proud member of NC-SARA - the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
