Once a schedule or assessment is set up to require monitoring, only a limited number of administrators with "monitor permissions" can "unlock" or allow access to the test. For this reason, faculty members with proctoring needs should contact this office for additional information.
Here's how the process works at the student end:
- Student goes to http://perception.sinclair.edu (or logs in through my.Sinclair by clicking the Perception link) and logs into their Perception account as normal (i.e. using their firstname.lastname and "pass" and the last 4 digits of their SS#). Once in their account, they will see links to all assessments to which they have access.
- If a particular assessment requires monitoring (i.e. the faculty member set up the schedule or assessment to require monitoring), once the student clicks the assessment link, an additional logon box will appear asking for a monitor to sign in. Once a monitor (again, any administrator who has monitoring access) logs in using their administrator ID and password for Perception the test will appear for the student.
