Department Information
Mission
The major function of the Counseling Services Department exist to provide services which support students as they pursue their academic goals and promote students’ academic and personal development.
The Department consists of the Counseling Office, Prevention Education Resource Services and Minority Student Retention Programs. Personnel includes three full time counselors and one part-time counselors, who provide support and guidance to assist persons with personal, academic and career decisions; one administrative and two support staff; one part-time counselor that is shared with the Retention Services Team; several Peer Counselor Assistants assigned to various positions within the department who assists students in adjusting to, and successfully matriculating at Sinclair.
