SLA Student Clubs Bios
  1. Able Youth Leaders - an acronym for the Alliance for the Betterment of Learning and Education.  The main mission of this club is to train and develop youth leaders that unify, nurture and support our community through their works.
  2. American Kodokwan Martial Arts - provides organization, unification and information to any interested students, faculty, staff, or alumni.  This includes the mutually healthful physical and psychological aspect of martial arts.
  3. Appalachian Club - increases interaction among students, faculty and staff at Sinclair Community College and the club will interact with members of the local urban Appalachian communities and professionals that work in the urban Appalachian neighborhood to perform community service provide information on careers and college opportunities.  Increase general understanding and interest in the Appalachian culture.
  4. Campus Bible Fellowship - encourages the understanding of Biblical Christianity through Bible study, discussion groups,  prayer and counseling.
  5. Centre Stage Club - promotes the importance of drama by enhancing classroom learning with co-curriculum learning.  The club will be committed to expanding members' scholastic experience at Sinclair, encouraging a sense of fellowship among members and involving community support and participation.
  6. Choral Club - provides guidance and instruction for those interested in a career in choral music, by inviting artists/lecturers to perform/speak on campus.
  7. College Republicans- purpose is to make known and promote the principles of the Republican Party among members of the Sinclair Community College campus and community.
  8. Crimininal Justice - increases understanding of criminal justice and its importance in every occupation.  The club will promote sholarship, leadership, mentoring and community services.
  9. Crosswalk - is a nondenominational Christian organization comprised of Sinclair Community College students.  The purpose of the club is to tell others about Jesus Christ, to provide a community for Christian students seeking such in their college experience and to help them grow in their walk with God.
  10. Culinary Club - will serve to develop professionalism among its members, provide opportunity with public service for contacts with persons working in the field; and encourage personal enrichment, academic and career advancement.
  11. Dietetics' Club -  provides direction and leadership for quality dietetic practice education and to promote optimal health and nutritional status of the population.
  12. Disney Club - recruit and prepare future participants in embarking in the living and working components of the Walt Disney World College Program.
  13. Global Awareness and Action Club - raise awareness of global issues and increase participation and organize events that support the global community in a positive way.
  14. International Student's Club - creates culture awareness in the diverse cultures.  The club will welcome international students to Sinclair and help them have an easier transition to their new school/environment.
  15. Jukado Club - Japanese martial arts to provide organization, unification and information to any interested students, faculty and staff, as well as the promotion of healthful aspects and benefits in the activity of self defense.
  16. Mental Health Technology Club - promotes a better understanding of the Human Service Professions.  Facilitate fellowship among the students in the Mental Health Technology Program.
  17. Model United Nations Club - participate in local, regional and National Model United Nations conferences and provide information on careers and college opportunities in the field of International Relations.  This club will also increase general understanding and interest in the fields of International Relations.
  18. Native American Cultural Club - the purpose of this club is to provide a resource base for accurate information on Native American issues.  The club's mission is to promote Native American artists, musicians and writers who address the Native American Indian experience, both on and off the reservation.
  19. Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association (OCMEA) - This club is a proactive, community oriented organization.  It is their goal to continue  keeping music an important part of education and to adapt as technology advances the musical styles of the future.
  20. Phi Theta Kappa - International Honor Society of the Two-Year College, provides recognition for students enrolled in degree programs at accredited community colleges.  The Nu Pi chapter has been a vital part of Sinclair Community College since 1964.  The organization promotes among chapters and members the development of four Hallmarks: service, leadership, and fellowship.  The society provides programs and conventions to assist chapters and members working to achieve the qualities of excellence we promote.
  21. Physical Education/Exercise Science Majors Club - increase inteaction among students, faculty and staff at Sinclair Community College.  The club will interact with members of the local community and professionals in the fields of Health, Physical and the Exercise Sciences.
  22. Physcial Therapy Assistant Club (PTA) - mission is to provide current and future students with more educational opportunities and to provide more community outreach experiences.
  23. Respiratory Therapy Club - provides information and careers and college opportunites.  Promotes general understanding and personal growth in the field of Respiratory Therapy.
  24. SADHA Club 2nd year - promotes a better understanding of the Dental Hygiene profession.
  25. Sinclair Art Student Association - This club has educational benefits in the raising the awareness of art in the community.  The club will participate in field trips to Art Galleries and Art Shows.  Volunteering in community programs to help children enjoy the art experience.
  26. Sinclair Tai Chi for Health Club - practice and examine Tai Chi for its many benefits on physical well being.  The club will improve the leaning and cultural environment for the students at Sinclair by examining and discussing the cultural origins of Tai Chi, create opportunity for students to benefit from the effects of Tai Chi and promoter of further understanding of this art as a group.
  27. Student Medical Assistant Association - provides positive role models to new and prospective medical assistants.  Offers leadership skills while encouraging professionalism as outlined by the AAMA, to educate the community service activities, to gain experience and enhance skills.  The club also plans to offer mentoring provide a source of support for one another and to provide scholarships.
