The department of Student Leadership Development is a vital part of life at Sinclair Community College. Only part of college learning takes place in the classroom. Students may choose to participate in any number of a wide variety of activities, organizations and student clubs, as well as participate in sports programs offered through the Physical Activities Center. The best place to learn about all the student centered programs is in the Student Leadership Development and Student Leadership Association office, Room 8025.
The Student Leadership Development Manager administers the Student Judicial Affairs Code of Conduct. Its mission enhances the objectives of the law, and promotes the quality and accessibility of education for all students. We are committed to providing an atmosphere which is conducive to inquiry and intellectual growth, both inside and outside the classroom.
Student Leadership Development programs and services include: Leadership Sinclair, CEO, Ohio Fellows and the National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi) other opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills through participation in clubs and organizations, a community resource directory that provides information about off-campus housing and faxing capabilities. The department staff assists students and over 27 student clubs and organizations that are a part of the Student Leadership Association in designing, building and maintaining an educational environment that will enhance their personal growth and facilitate the attainment of their organizational purpose.
