Where is the Commencement ceremony and where do I park?
The 2008 Commencement ceremony will be held at the
Graduate and guest parking is available in lots A and B. Please enter the Arena through the South entrance near the box office. Complimentary overflow parking and shuttle service is available at the Delphi Lot, west of I-75. It is highly encouraged that guests and students arrive as early as possible to ensure optimal parking and seating.

What if I have a special need or am physically disabled?

Do I receive my diploma at the Commencement ceremony?
You will receive only your diploma cover when you walk across the stage during the ceremony. Fall and Winter graduates should already have received their diplomas while Spring and Summer graduates will receive their diplomas once all degree requirements are met. What if I am an honor student?
The names of students graduating with honors will be so noted in the Commencement program and will have that distinction indicated at the time their name is announced. Honor cords, distributed with you cap and gown, will also designate you as an honor student during the ceremony.
How should I dress for the ceremony?
The purpose of the Commencement ceremony is to provide the opportunity for the college to formally recognize and acknowledge the achievement of students who have met institutional requirements for a degree. While it is designed to be a dignified event, the college recognizes it is also a time of joy and elation for graduates and their families and friends. In this regard, the college encourages participants to exercise good judgment in selecting their wardrobe for the ceremony. While the traditional ceremonial gown provides ample coverage, participants are asked to refrain from wearing shorts and/or sandals. We appreciate your cooperation.

How do I purchase a photograph from the ceremony?
A professional photographer will take your photograph once you step off of the stage after you are handed your diploma cover. Within a week of the ceremony, you will be contacted by Chappell Photography to purchase a professional photograph.
Chappell Photography is offering a new feature to graduates to “pre-register” for photographs. Once a graduate is pre-registered, the company will send copies of the photograph to pre-designated friends and family as well as inform the graduate when they can review the photograph online and order.
