Senior Citizen Courses and Tuition Waivers

Golden Age Classes

The Sinclair tuition waiver program for persons 60 years of age or older enables senior citizens to audit any credit course on the main campus on a space-available basis. Seniors participating in this program are required to pay laboratory fees and purchase books and materials used for the courses. In order to take advantage of the tuition wavier audit program, senior citizens must register for classes only during the Late Registration period listed in the quarterly class calendar. Proof of age and photo identification is required.

If seniors choose to receive grades and college credit for the course, they must pay the regular fees and register during the regular registration period as listed in the quarterly class schedule.

College for Seniors

The College for Seniors program includes two options that are complementary to the regular Sinclair curriculum: Developing Community Change Agents, a leadership development course; Senior Academy, no-credit short courses requested and taught by seniors.

Senior Adults at Off-Campus Locations

Sinclair offers a variety of credit courses at several senior citizen centers, retirement villages, community centers and nursing homes in Montgomery County. Tuition fees are waived for all persons 60 years of age or older who wish to audit the credit courses. Registration is handled at the host location prior to the start of classes. For specific information, call (937) 512-5184, room 10-112.
