STUDENT SUPPORT & RESOURCES

Campus Police

Campus Police is available by voice and TTY at 512-2700. If a person who is deaf needs to interact with one of the officers, Campus Police will call Disabilities Services, who will send someone to facilitate communication. TTYs which may be used for emergency calls are located in 10421 (Disability Services), 9222 and 9223 (Manual Communications), and a TTY pay phone on the third floor of building 10.

Campus Police may also be reached through emergency intercoms in the elevators, and through an emergency blue light system installed in parking garages and outside areas. The emergency lights are distinguished by the blue light on top of the pole. To receive emergency assistance, simply open the door to the intercom box and press the red button. If a person with a disability has to make contact with Campus Police and they are unable to speak, they may activate the elevator intercom button or emergency light. Stand by and even though no verbal messages are made or received, Campus Police will respond.
