People who use wheelchairs and scooters should be prepared for breakdowns to avoid being stranded for long periods. Wheelchairs are considered personal equipment and it is your responsibility to provide wheelchair repairs. It is suggested that you carry with you the names and phone numbers of your wheelchair repairperson, and/or individuals who may be able to assist you if your wheelchair breaks down.
