To utilize the Employment Services and JobLink Employment website students must be registered and possess a Username and Password. The following steps explain the Registration process.
Step 1 - Determine Eligibility
Requirements for registration include any one of the followings conditions:
- Currently enrolled (prospective grads), and completed 75 hours toward your current major. Maintained a 2.0 cumulative GPA and planning to graduate within 1-3 quarters depending on class schedule.
- Graduate or Alumni of Sinclair.
- Received a one year certificate from Sinclair.
Step 2 - Attend an Orientation
If you meet any one of the above requirements, you are eligible to register for Employment Services. At this time eligible individuals must attend an Employment Services Orientation. The Orientation is conducted by one of the Career Services staff and explains the different services available as well as demonstrating how to utilize the JobLink online recruitment website. Usernames and Passwords are provided after Orientation for Online access. Orientations last approximately 1 hour and are conducted on the following days:
Tuesdays .... 5:00PM Wednesdays ... 12:00PMEligible candidates wishing to make an appointment for an Orientation can call (937) 512-2772 or email careerservices@sinclair.edu and provide the following:
Name, Phone, Major, Grad Year, StudentID or SSN(Note: If a person's schedule restricts them from attending an Orientation at the preset times, alternate methods of enrollment can be made. Contact the Career Seervices office for additional information.)
Step 3 - Online Registration, Resume Uploading and Job Searching
After attending an Orientation and receiving a Username and Password, members will complete the online registration and upload a resume(s) to the JobLink system for resume referral purposes. Once Graduate and Prospective graduates can utilize the Joblink web portal to utilize the following:
- Personal JobLink Account Access
- Online Career Related Job Listings
- On Campus Interview Scheduling
- Resume Database/Resume Referral
- Employer Research
- OnLine Job Application
Members status is "active" until a request "inactive" status or until evidence of account inactivity for a period more than six months. ("Active" status allows login and full interactive permissions, while "inactive" status means no login). Members can turn active status on and off as needed by emailing or phoning the Career Center.
