Registration On-Line

Registration, Add, Drop, Payment, and Other New Services Available On-Line

Sinclair now offers the ability to register for classes and make secure credit card payments on-line through the my.Sinclair portal.  Students can now avoid waiting in line to register or pay for classes by logging into to the my.Sinclair portal at http://my.sinclair.edu and clicking on the tab entitled “Web Advisor”.  Students must log into the Web Advisor system since it allows secured financial transactions using Visa or Mastercard.

How do I use the new services at my.Sinclair?

  1. Login to my.Sinclair at http://my.sinclair.edu

·        Use the “Don’t know or Forgot your User ID?” link if you don’t know your username and password.

  1. Select the “Web Advisor” tab in the portal.
  2. Login to Web Advisor

·        Your username is the same one you used for my.Sinclair

·        Your initial password is the last four digits of your Social Security Number (e.g., 1234).

·        When you first login to Web Advisor you will be required to change your password to one that is 6-9 characters long, containing both letters and numbers.  This does not change your my.Sinclair password.

  1. Select the “Student” role.
  2. Use the links at the left to register, pay for classes, or get the information you need.

*** Please note – It takes 24 hours from the time an application is processed for a student to be able to use the Web Advisor system ****

Other new services available to students include the ability to do a “program evaluation” (referred to by counselors as a degree audit).  This service, formerly only available at the kiosks across campus, allows students to determine what courses are required to complete their selected degree or certificate program.  A new feature only available in the my.Sinclair portal allows students to select other degree programs and see what additional courses would be required in order to complete a different degree or certificate program.

The Web Advisor system also allows students to obtain grades from any term (including the current term as soon as those grades are posted), to obtain an unofficial transcript listing courses they have taken and grades received, to get a listing of their course schedule with meeting locations and times, and to see a summary of their account balance.

Students on probation, dismissal, or with other restrictions will not be able to use Web Advisor to register for classes.  Those students should consult a counselor for more information.

*PLEASE NOTE: You can not Audit courses when you register on WEB.  You must register in person, bldg 10, 2nd floor.
