Welcome to the Testing Center, located in Building 10, Floor 4, Room 10445.
The Testing Center provides a secure and quiet testing environment for placement and academic testing. Staff members are available to assist you with placement and academic testing, and will provide assistance with the next steps of enrollment. All tests are administered on a walk-in basis, and you should arrive at least two hours before closing to allow time for completion of testing.
Placement and academic testing are also available at all Sinclair learning centers and the Courseview Campus Center. For hours of operation by location, visit the Testing Hours and Locations page.
The placement test (called ACCUPLACER) is an untimed computerized assessment in math and English that Sinclair uses to ensure that you enroll in classes that are right for you. The test is a tool that gives you a starting point in your coursework.
Academic testing is available for distance learning students, students who need to make up a classroom test, and students with special needs who are registered with Disability Services. We are unable to provide testing services for entire classes.
NOTICE: Tartan ID or a State/Government issued ID is required for academic and placement testing.
Testing Center Cell Phone and Electronic Device Policy
In consideration of others and for testing security purposes, you are required to show us that you have powered off your cell phone or electronic device before entering the testing lab.
Reminder Regarding Midterms and Finals
During midterms and finals, please anticipate longer than usual wait times for academic tests. Wait times during these periods can range from 30 minutes to an hour. Please remember to allow enough time to compensate for the longer than usual wait time.
