Career Services Can Help!
Yanling Tang

Sinclair is a good college to start with, not only because it has low tuition, but also because it has a wonderful Career Services department. When I first enrolled in Sinclair, I chose to major in accounting, but I was not sure about future job opportunities. I went to Career Services to look for some on-campus job opportunities. The Career Services department was really a big help to me. They assisted me with discovering my interests, and also showed me that many companies are looking for accounting skills. So, I am confident in the major I selected. Career Services also helped me look for student work opportunities; I was asked about my office skills and was shown how to apply for on-campus jobs. I was hired by the Sociology department. I have worked for the department since December/2010, and I like the job very much. I want to say thank you to the Career Services department. It is never too late to stop by the Career Services department.

Thank you.

I feel that Career Services has helped me to discover new ways of achieving success. When I came in to Career Services, I just wanted to figure out for sure what I wanted to do. I took the Discover Assessment, and by the end of that particular day, I knew what what my interest, values and skills were. I discovered that I wanted to pursue a major in Criminal Justice with the intent of becoming a City Manager. The career specialists were professional, courteous and helpful through this experience. I was able to gain confidence, hope and a sense of value in realizing my career interest.
