If you have not yet submitted an application to the College, you must do so (in person or on-line) prior to submitting this request. The form below should be used to submit your request for permission to demonstrate your prior learning for the specified Sinclair course in the form of a proficiency exam. This information will be forwarded to the Department Chairperson of the course you are requesting. If your request is approved, you will be notified of the evaluation fee for this evaluation. Payment must be submitted to the Bursar’s office before your exam can be scheduled. You will be contacted by the evaluator to arrange for your exam, and the evaluator will then determine the grade you earn and submit that information to the Registrar. If your grade is A, B or C; that information will be posted to your academic record and become part of your grade point average; grades of D or F are not posted, and you are not permitted to re-apply for the same test.
