American Council on Education (ACE)

ACE (the American Council on Education) provides access to transcripts for several of its programs. If you have taken training through your employer or a specialized training provider that has been evaluated by ACE, in many cases ACE has established credit recommendations that can help you get that training translated into college credit.

ACE/CREDIT (non-military)
To have your ACE transcript evaluated for Sinclair course equivalency, you should bring or send a copy of your ACE transcript and credit recommendations to the Prior Learning Credit Options facilitator in the Academic Advising Center, Room 11-346, Attention: Vicky (fax #937-512-5054). Include your name, address, and Sinclair I.D. number. The facilitator will forward that document to the department chair(s) responsible for the subject area requested, who will identify any courses from that discipline that match the ACE transcript and recommendations you have submitted. To have these courses applied to your Sinclair record, there is a processing fee of $10 per course for each course applied. For more information on ACE/CREDIT programs, see http://www.acenet.edu/nationalguide/.

For ACE/Military evaluations, your ACE/Military transcript should be sent directly to the Sinclair Office of Registration and Student Records, and is considered the same as transfer credit. Specific course equivalency is established by the department chair(s) responsible for the subject area requested.

Additional information about the ACE/CREDIT programs, can be found at http://www.acenet.edu/nationalguide/.
