Often the freshman experience course is paired with another course, which is a great way to get to know the college.
v Learning Communities classes are team taught
v The emphasis of the class is on developing working relationships with classmates and teachers. You don’t learn alone.
v Learning Communities work. Students stay in school more and are more engaged in the process. The research proves it.
v Over 500 colleges in the United States have Learning Communities. They are the rage at private 4-year universities and at 2-year community colleges.
v They make sense. We learn best together.
