STUDENT SERVICES

The Advising Partnership--Advisor's Role

Advisors will offer guidance during each step of a student's academic career.

Evaluate placement results. Assist in creating a class schedule.
Explain degree and certificate programs and graduation requirements. Evaluate credits transferring to Sinclair.
Interpret degree audits. Facilitate a smooth transition to a four-year college or university.
Explain academic probation. Assist with academic dismissal.

Advisors will assist students in navigating academic life at Sinclair.

Remind students about important deadlines for registration and degree completion. Interpret Sinclair's policies and procedures and how they may affect decisions.

Refer students to other services and offices that can provide assistance.

As students participate in the advising partnership, their role is to use the guidance received to make good decisions about their education and career.  In order to make the most of this partnership click here.
