Welcome to the Academic Advising Center

Academic advisors help you define educational goals and provide information, encouragement, and advice for making good decisions. We listen to concerns, ask questions to help you through the decision-making process and maintain confidentiality.

Important Notices

When submitting an email to the Advising Center, please include: your full name, student ID#, degree program and a good daytime phone number.
May 18 - June 22:  Students may request to take quarter-based proficiency exams. Obtain necessary paperwork from an academic advisor. Submit it to Room 11346 (attention: Prior Learning Assessment). 
May 23 - May 30: 100% drop-in advising during first week of Fall registration.
May 23: Fall registration begins at 6:00 am online and at 8:00 am in-person!
May 25 (before 5pm): Final withdrawal date for full term Spring classes (check your syllabus!!).
May 25 (before 5pm): Deadline to submit Summer 2012 Readmission Petitions to Academic Advising.
June 16: Commencement at UD Arena (9:45 am).
June 23 - July 19: Quarter-based proficiency exam paperwork will no longer be accepted.
July 20: Deadline for taking a quarter-based proficiency exam.
July 21 - September 4:  No proficiency exams will be administered.
September 5: Semester-based proficiency exams available. See your academic advisor for paperwork.

 

General Office Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8 a.m.–7 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Appointments: Available during other office hours outside of drop-in advising hours.

Drop-in Advising: Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 8–11:30 a.m.; Tuesday/Thursday: 1–4 p.m.

Transfer and transient students should bring a copy of their unofficial transcript to the advising session.
