About
the Law

This picture doesn't do me justice, of course.
So how could the picture do more justice?
The dictionary definition of justice is,
"The principle of fairness or rightness".

The picture could be fairer to me if
it showed all my sparkling qualities,
but it is doubtful if any picture could
do that for any of us.

So, I will have to be satisfied with "just" a picture
on this Web page and hope that through the coming quarter
all those qualities not shown in a mere photo will come through.

Some of the qualities that I can tell you about on this page are...

Passion
Currently, I am retired from Sinclair where I worked for 28 years.
As Sinclair does not want to lose many years of teaching know how, the College
gives retired faculty the opportunity to continue teaching  a few courses a year.
I am teaching my courses in Law as Distance Education Courses on the Web.

I have had many Passions over the years but  to combine retirement
with teaching is a new one for me. Wish me luck.

I also have a passion for gardening, bicycling, and needlework.
I have traveled to gardens in England, Wales and Italy
and have traveled by bicycle all over the U.S.,
as well as England, Scotland and Australia.
I am currently learning to embroidery with silk threads...rather challenging.

Studious
I approach my passions earnestly and diligently
(which is what the dictionary states is the meaning of studious).
I will look over the literature in books and periodicals to keep up to
date and try to think of ways that I can be more knowledgeable
in my pursuits. So in this sense I am studious.

And I had to use this quality to earn
my J. D. degree from Ohio State University, College of Law.

Motherly
I have four children. I enjoy playing with my grandchildren
and have computer games for them on my home computer.

My husband and I live in Springfield where he has a law practice.
I like living in a small town. Our children live close-by and we
can drive to bigger cities in a short time.

Gregarious
"Enjoying the company of others" is the definition of this quality.
You can help me achieve this by contributing
to the "Dialogue About the Law" page.

After you read the remaining course pages
so you will know what this course is about,
click on the Dialogue page so the
we can all be gregarious together.
