SYLLABUS

Course Objectives


Course Objectives: (Specific statements that summarize what a student should achieve to complete the course successfully.)

  • Identify the historical and practical implications of living and existing in a capitalist society
  • Identify and discuss selected artists and how art and business interrelated in their historical period
  • Discuss and identify the essential business elements of product idea generation, development, mass production, marketing, pricing (including negotiation), sales and service
  • Describe and discuss the implications of viewing one’s "discipline" through different eyes (Art through Business and Business through Art)
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate the World Wide Web through both business and art home pages.
