DAYTON AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SCULPTURE

If you've ever happened by the main downtown branch of the Dayton and Montgomery County Public Library you've probably noticed the sculpture adorning the front of the building. This 1962 sculpture by Dayton artist Robert Charles Koepnick appears both timeless and mysterious. During the Fall 1991 quarter of Dr. Struthers' Art 101 course, student Pat Clingman was intrigued by the work and decided to write a research paper discussing the artist, his work and its execution. We are indebted to Pat for allowing us to share her work and have presented it below for you to enjoy!
