ART
263 / MAN 263

What
will we learn??? A major patron of the arts in Europe from the fourth century through the eighteen century was the Catholic Church. In fact, the main two patrons during these 1400 years were the church and royalty.
This unit will use the Basilica of St. Peter’s in Vatican City, Rome, as its focal point, although church patronage extended all over Europe, Asia Minor, North Africa, and Colonial America at various times.
