What is the program about?

Information technology support staff who are competent in a number of software programs and are capable of integrating applications to be more productive will be in high demand. Support staff members, as well as all information technology workers, are required to work in teams, actively participate as customer service agents, and use new technologies to maximize business productivity.

Program Outcomes

  • Manage the flow of information, media and documents throughout the life cycle; input, processing, output, distribution, use, storage, retrieval and disposition.
  • Assess business problems using analytical and critical thought processes to identify the best technology solution.
  • Practice professional attitude and work ethics related to situations in business and industry.
  • Use specialized terminology effectively.
  • Apply appropriate customer service skills in a variety of settings such as face-to-face, telephone and online.
  • Apply quantitative skills appropriate to business information occupations.
  • Display good human relations skills in various settings such as one-to-one, team and groups.

Career Opportunities

Employment opportunities are available in many types of businesses, including banks, insurance offices, advertising agencies, manufacturing companies, small to large businesses and educational facilities, to name a few.
