Staff Senate Proudly Announces the Piece of Excellence Staff Awards
Sinclair Support Staff are key members of the Sinclair Community College team. They often work behind the scenes and their contributions are often over looked, yet their efforts are vital to the success of Sinclair. The Piece of Excellence Award was created to recognize Support Staff members who go above and beyond; staff members who demonstrate professional, innovative, extraordinary, customer focused, and exceptional performance. The Piece of Excellence Award recipients are an essential piece that helps make Sinclair excellent.
The Piece of Excellence Staff Awards will honor three support staff members for their professional, innovative, extraordinary, customer focused, and exceptional job performance at SPDD (Staff Professional Development Day).
Who can nominate
Administration, Faculty, Support Staff, and Professional Staff
Criteria
· Has exhibited professional, innovative, extraordinary, customer focused, and exceptional job performance
· Demonstrates a commitment to their personal and professional development
· Is active/involved with Sinclair Community (i.e. Staff Senate, helping with quarterly initiatives, contributing time to Levy Campaign, working the polls, United Way Campaign, etc.)
Eligibility
Any full-time support staff member who has been in their current position for at least 1 year and has not received the Piece of Excellence Award in the last three years. (Note: The Chair of the EPDC committee is not eligible for nomination and staff members currently on a corrective action plan/probation are not eligible for nomination)
Award
Each award recipient will receive $250 cash award, a crystal trophy, a padfolio, certificate, and Piece of Excellence magnet placard. Nominees will receive a Piece of Excellence magnet placard.
