As a Sinclair student you are automatically a member of the Student Government General Assembly.
What if I want to run for office?
You can get the details of running for office in the Student Activities office in room 8025. You can also get details and the forms you will need for running for office, by going to my.sinclair.edu.
When will the next election be held?
The next election for SGA President and four (4) SGA Senators, will be held during Spring Fling week in the first half of May 2006.
What if I want to be involved but I don't want to hold office?
There are many opportunties for involvement through clubs, performing community service or activng as a student advocate. Any SGA officer will be able to tell you what they are. You may also want to look into Sinclair's leadership programs: Leadership Sinclair and Sinclair Ohio Fellows. Stop by Room 8025 for a variety of opportunities.
Can I attend the SGA General Assembly meetings?
Yes. As a student you may attend any SGA meeting.
What if I have an item I would like to discuss with the General Assembly?
You can submit agenda items to the Speaker of the House and you will be added to the agenda for the next General Assembly meeting. Your request must be submitted at least one week prior to the meeting date.
Who are the members of Student Government
As a student at Sinclair, you are automatically a member of Student Government. To become an active member, attend one of our General Assembly meetings.
Are Student Government officer paid?
The President, Speaker of the House, Operations Manager, and Marketing Manager positions are all paid.
