Call to order: Cindy called the meeting to order at 2:33 p.m. in the Alumni Room

1.  Approval of Minutes

The minutes from February 8, 2006 were approved with minor edits.

 

2.  Officer’s Report

Cindy shared the advertisement draft for the position - Vice President for Instruction/Chief Academic Officer.  Senate recommended minor changes to the draft. Cindy and Surinder Jain will be meeting to select the search committee for this position.

 

Nick shared that the LRC will officially change its name to the Library when the new space opens sometime during the spring quarter.

 

Nick also asked the Senate to consider what other facilities at SCC have names that are confusing and might be renamed to more common or more easily understandable names.
