The Faculty Ratio Task Force continues to address staffing ratios among Special Adjuncts, Annually Contracted Faculty, and Tenure-track Faculty. The goal is to maintain a 60/40 ratio of full-time/part-time faculty and to eliminate the special adjunct position by Fall 2005. In addition, the VPI, the President and Vice President of Faculty Senate continue to address issues raised by the Annually Contracted Faculty. |

During Spring 2003, the President, Vice President for Instruction, and President and Vice President of Faculty Senate met with Annually Contracted Faculty to outline a recommended plan of action. The plan of action is to respond to expressed issues and concerns of Annually Contracted Faculty. The plan was agreed upon at this meeting, and the VPI and President and Vice President of Faculty Senate will begin implementation during Fall 2003. |

The initial implementation of the revised Faculty Workload Policy began in Fall 2003 with continued monitoring by the FITS Team. The new policy will be fully implemented by Fall 2005. The results from the first year indicate successful implementation of policy. |
