Sinclair Disney Club

The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida has been the workplace for nearly 250 Sinclair Community College students.  Sinclair students who interview and are invited to become Disney Cast Members live and work, from 4-6 months, at one of the Disney Resorts or Theme Parks in Florida.  Sinclair students who successfully complete the 4-6 month Disney internship become members of the Sinclair Disney Club.

The mission of the Sinclair Disney Club is to encourage and recruit other students to participate in the Walt Disney World College Program.  Sinclair Disney Club members elect officers, plan fund raisers and social activities each year.  Another important activity of the Disney Club is to plan information sessions for students who have been chosen to go to Florida.  Disney College Program Alumni answer questions from parents of the students who have been selected, before they make the trip to Florida.  The Sinclair Disney Club participates in all Student Government activities on campus.

The Disney College Program provides Sinclair students with Living, Learning and Earning   experiences in sunny Florida.  The Living experience allows Sinclair students to grow by allowing them to be on their own, 1000 miles away from family and friends.  Learning can take place by attending Disney University classes that have been approved for college credit.  Earning an hourly wage, for the 30-40 hours worked per week, allows student to bring home a pay check.

Walt Disney World recruiters visit the Sinclair campus two (2) times a year to interview students.  Disney recruiters will usually visit in February and November of each year.  The next official Disney recruit will be held during Winter Quarter 2005.

Students who interview during Winter Quarter and receive an offer will report to Disney in either June or August of 2005.
