Subject: Peace and Security in the Middle East
DRAFT RESOLUTION

Cognizant of the current hostile situation in the Middle East,

Deeply concerned by the potential catastrophic consequences of nuclear war breaking out,

THE SECURITY COUNCIL,

  1. Calls for the current authority in Pakistan to ascertain and declare the location of all nuclear weapons and the United States to turn over control of nuclear weapons to the International Atomic Energy Agency;

  2. Requests the International Atomic Energy Agency assist in the securing and monitoring of all weapons of mass destruction in Pakistan;

  3. Demands the current Pakistani authority to refrain from using any weapons of mass destruction, as doing so impedes upon international security;

  4. Decides to remain seized of this matter.

DRAFT RESOLUTION

Recalling Security Council Resolutions 1189, 1373, and 1515, and the efforts of this body in maintaining peace in all areas of the world,

Recalling the United Nations Charter Chapter V, Article 24, stating that the purpose of the Security Council is maintaining peace in all areas of the world,

Reiterating the need for lasting peace in the Middle East and efforts such as the Madrid Principles and the Middle East Peace Process,

Deeply concerned with the implications of an international conflict and its impact on all peoples of the world,

Noting with concern the recent tensions growing between Israel, Syria and Saudi Arabia,

THE SECURITY COUNCIL,

  1. Urges Israel and Saudi Arabia, as well as any other States who believe they may be directly involved in the current conflict, to act with restrain and seek peaceful alternatives to resolution;

  2. Condemns the assassination of Ariel Sharon, the kidnapping of Yassar Arafat and the bombing of Mecca that resulted in the deaths of at least three hundred people;

  3. Calls for the creation of the Conflict Resolution Body (CRB) to be defined as a mediating body to intervene between Israel, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the members of the Organization of Islamic Conference and the Arab League in the interests of preserving international peace;

    1. Which will be composed of mediators from the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of France and the United Kingdom,

    2. Which will convene immediately to provide mediation and conflict resolution between the above mentioned States,  negotiate for the prosecution of the financer of the assassination of Ariel Sharon and reporting to the Security Council every three months for the first two years of its existence and every six months for all years following, until the point the Security Council determines the body has finished its mandate, and 

    3. Which will convene at the United Nations headquarters in New York City and be open to any Member State for silent observation;

  4. Urges Israel, Syria, Saudi Arabia, OIC, and the Arab League to participate fully with the CRB;

  5. Decides to remain seized of this matter.

Subject: The Israeli Government’s Public Apology
DRAFT RESOLUTION

Recognizing the threat to international security,

Affirming the importance of the Holy City of Mecca to the Islamic Community,

Realizing the influence the Arab League has on the Middle East,

THE SECURITY COUNCIL,

  1. Strongly urges the Israeli Government to formally and publicly apologize for the missile that hit the outskirts of Mecca;

  2. Encourages negotiations and cooperation on behalf of the Arab League in any bellicose matters;

  3. Decides to remain seized on the matter.

DRAFT RESOLUTION

Noting with concern the recent military actions of Pakistan, India, China, and the United States,

Recalling the United Nations Charter Chapter V, Article 24, stating that the purpose of the Security Council is maintaining peace in all areas of the world,

Reiterating the need for lasting peace in the Middle East and efforts such as the Madrid Principles and the Middle East Peace Process,

Deeply concerned with the implications of nuclear proliferation for non-peaceful purposes,

THE SECURITY COUNCIL,

  1. Acting under Chapter VII of the UN Charter;

  2. Calls upon Member States to contribute to a military force hereby named the United Nations Central Asian Expeditionary Force (UNCAEF), which will serve the following purposes:

    1. To deploy to Pakistan and secure all Pakistani nuclear weapons facilities,

    2. To ascertain the whereabouts and take control of previously unaccounted-for nuclear material, weapons, and facilities,

    3. To assist in, if needed, the establishment of a new and stable constitutional government for Pakistan through cooperation with the United Nations Electoral Assistance Division,

    4. To assist in the withdrawal of Indian troops from Pakistani territory to internationally recognized borders,

    5. To remain in the region until such time that the Security Council decides regional stability has been achieved,

    6. To replace United States troops from within the sovereign borders of the People's Republic of China, and

    7. To review this matter every two months until such time that the Security Council deems it no longer necessary;

  3. Calls on Pakistan, India, and China to comply with all mandates of the Security Council regarding the current conflict and to respect the authority of the UNCAEF;

  4. Decides to remain seized of this matter.

Subject: The Trial of the Financier of the Assassination of Ariel Sharon
DRAFT RESOLUTION

Mindful of the importance of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty,

Recalling the initiative set forth for negotiations of the financier of the assassination of Ariel Sharon in Resolution SSC/2,

Recalling the international trial of those implicated in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988,

Noting the continuing sympathies for the Israeli people and the family of Ariel Sharon upon his death,

THE SECURITY COUNCIL,

  1. Decides to create an international judicial body to be known as the International Tribunal on the Assassination of Ariel Sharon (ITAAS) under the auspices of the Security Council which shall have the following authority:

    1. To hold the financier of Ariel Sharon's assassination before his trial and be enforced by United Nations security forces,

    2. To try him under Israeli law for his sponsorship of this terrorist act against the State of Israel,

    3. To determine which member state shall host this tribunal, with the states of Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Syria to be removed from the possible selection due to their direct involvement in this incident,

    4. To be a tribunal consisting of one legal expert from Israel, Saudi Arabia, and one other member state to be decided by the General Assembly, and

    5. To declare the immediate location of the trial as Israeli sovereign territory for the duration of the trial, but the nation in which the trial is to be held shall maintain complete sovereignty and jurisdiction over the remainder of its territory;

  2. Authorizes the creation of a special investigative committee for the purpose of further examining the actions taken which resulted in the assassination of Ariel Sharon, the results of which may be called upon at the trial;

  3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
