Tartans Defeat OU-Chillicothe

Sinclair (12-1/0-0) Men’s Basketball Overpowers Ohio Univ - Chillicothe
Dayton, OH – Sinclair Men’s Basketball team hosted Ohio Univ - Chillicothe this evening at The Sinclair Physical Activates Center in a Non League game.

The Pride took control of the game with seven minutes remaining and went on to post a 80-57 victory, it was Sinclair's tenth consecutive win of the season. Shooting 48% from the field and pounding the boards to out rebound the Bobcats by 30, the Pride outscored the visitors by 14 in the second half.

Leading the way for The Tartan Pride was British Alexander (Trotwood H.S.) with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Kevin Vest (Carroll H.S.) with 13 points and 6 assists. Jason Clardy and De' Angelo Gates (Thurgood Marshall H.S.) with 10 each. Sinclair had a 58-28 rebounding edge. All eleven players in uniform saw action with ten getting double figure minutes played.

The Sinclair Men’s team will return to action at home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 7:30pm for critical conference match up with Nationally Ranked Columbus State.

Sinclair (10-2/0-0) Women’s Basketball Impressive against OU - Chillicothe
Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women’s Basketball team hosted OU - Chillicothe this evening at The Sinclair Physical Activates Center in a Non League game.

The Lady Tartan Pride took control of the game and never looked back, taking a 49-12 lead into halftime and win going away 96-31. It was the highest production game for Sinclair as The Athletic Department celebrated Head Coach Jeff Dillon's 100th win during a pre game presentation.

Again, as in several games, all 11 Sinclair players scored. The Lady Pride had 4 players in double figures. Jessica Plummer (Tippecanoe H.S.) 15 points , Emily Frey (Versailles H.S.) 13 points, Chelcie Gullett (Xenia H.S.) with 13 points and Shannon Campbell ( Miamisburg H.S.) had 12 points. Last year’s NJCAA Nations Leader in Assist, Sophomore Jana Gross (Bellbrook H.S.) paced everyone with a game high of 6 assist.

The Sinclair Women’s team will return to action at home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 5:30pm for critical conference match up with Columbus State.
