College Encourages Students to Wait2Txt

Sinclair is teaming up with WDTN, Dayton’s CW and White Allen Chevrolet for the Wait2Txt Campaign, an initiative that encourages drivers not to text and drive.

The college hosted a kick-off event on August 4. Students were given Wait2Txt thumb-bands to remind them not to text while driving and got a chance to visit booths set up by Sinclair Admissions, WDTN and Dayton’s CW. White Allen Chevrolet brought a wrecked car to the event to remind students what can happen if they text while driving.

Sinclair will continue to remind students to Wait2Txt this fall. The college will hand out thumb-bands during Fall Quarter Welcome Week and will also visit area high schools to hand out thumb-bands and deliver the Wait2Txt message to students.

You can pick up a thumb-band at White Allen Chevrolet and at the Sinclair Admissions office, located on the first floor of Building 10 at the Dayton campus.
