Energize Clinton County Focus of Sinclair Event

DAYTON, OH (08/30/10) -- Sinclair Community College will host finalists of VH-1’s DoSomething.org contest as part of an on-campus event.

On Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, Sinclair will host Taylor Stuckert and Mark Rembert are the principles of Energize Clinton County, finalists in VH-1’s DoSomething.org contest. Their program was designed to help Wilmington, Ohio, and Clinton County recover from the DHL relocation and the resulting impact on the community.

Tit led "What’s Happening to Reinvigorate Clinton County," the event is sponsored by the Visiting Scholars Program and will take place at 6 p.m. in the Tartan Terrace Restaurant located on the fourth floor of Building 13.

DoSomething.org focuses on getting teenagers involved with volunteering in their communities and around the world. The goal is to get teens to find a cause they care about and take action. Since 1996, DoSomething.org has held the Do Something Awards, which rewards the teens who are the best "do-ers" in their area of interest.

The event is free and open to the public. Interested attendees should RSVP by September 5 to Annette Koronowski at (937) 512-3142 or annette.koronowski@sinclair.edu.
