Sinclair Baseball Moves to 8-0

Dayton, OH – Sinclair (8-0) Baseball had to change their travel plans from West Virginia to Cincinnati due to bad weather in Keyser, WV.  The weekend was not a complete loss as the Pride rolled over Northern Kentucky’s JV team 11-9 in 9 innings at Marge Schott Stadium on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.

Jeremiah Kerns  (2-0) (Ben Logan H.S./ Bellefontaine, OH) picked up his second win of the year after throwing 5 solid innings and only giving up 3 earned runs on 5 hits allowed.   Closer Matt Addis (Fairborn H.S.) entered the game in the top of the 9th and needing 2 outs to put down a Norse rally that had already plated 5 runs.  Holding a 2 run lead that started out as a 7 run margin at the beginning of the inning, Addis earned his 3rd save of the year as he got two ground ball outs to shut down NKU’s rally.
