Sinclair appoints Dr. Kathleen Cleary Dean of Liberal Arts, Communication and Social Sciences

Sinclair Community College recently appointed Dr. Kathleen Cleary as the dean of Liberal Arts, Communication and Social Sciences. Cleary began her new post just before the year began.

Cleary had served as the chairperson of theatre and dance at Sinclair Community College since fall of 2003.

She has also taught at The Ohio State University, Clark State Community College and Binghamton University. Cleary has been active as an actor and director in professional, college and community theaters throughout Ohio and New York.

While at Sinclair, she has directed Ama and the White Crane, Cymbeline, Richard III and The Christmas Carol. She is currently appearing in the independent film, Still Me, which is eligible for an Academy Award.

She received her Ph.D. in Theatre History from The Ohio State University, her M.A. in Theatre from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and her B.A. in English from Franciscan University.
