Women's Basketball Team raises over $1000 for American Cancer Society

For the seventh consecutive year, the Sinclair Women's Basketball Team participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on October 17 at the Dayton Dragons' Fifth Third Field. Approximately 6,500 walkers participated in the event raising $375,000 on Saturday for research, education, advocacy, and patient services.

The Sinclair Women's Basketball team had a group of 25 walkers including players, coaches, family, and friends. The team raised $1,180 in donations all going to the American Cancer Society.

What is Making Strides?
Making Strides events are noncompetitive walks ranging in distance from 3 to 5 miles. The event unites people of all ages with a common goal to fight breast cancer and save lives. Chances are, you've been affected by breast cancer in some way, and Making Strides gives you the power to fight back and make a difference.
