Volleyball Opens at home in the Central Ohio Invitational

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women’s Volleyball team opened the 2009 season at home Friday dropping both matches in pool play of the Central Ohio Invitational. Sinclair hosted two other teams as one of three sites of the 10 team invitational.

Opening pool play, Lorain County Community College scrambled to a 3-2 win over host Sinclair (20-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 14-16).

The second match-up of the night pitted Lorain Co C.C. against Lake Michigan College. Lake Michigan dropped the first game but then went onto win three straight over LCCC to take the match 3-1 (22-25, 25-12, 25-19, 25-19)

Returning to action in the night cap, Sinclair ran into a very hot Lake Michigan team losing 0-3 (21-25, 21-25, 23-25).

Sinclair will return to action Saturday at the Buckeye Volleyball Center (Columbus, OH) as all 10 team will gather for the completion of the 2009 Central Ohio Invitational.
