Sinclair avenged an earlier season last second loss by defeating Wittenberg 70-53 on the road Monday. Sinclair hit the first basket of the game but Wittenberg quickly came back to jump out to a 5-2 lead before both teams traded baskets early in the half. Sinclair held a slim 18-17 lead at 10:00 before going on a 16-6 run to end the half to hold the 34-23 lead at halftime.

Both teams came out strong in the second half with the Tigers battling to get back in the game and the Tartan Pride shutting down their runs. At 8:00 the score was 52-43 and the Tigers wouldn't pull any closer than that as the Sinclair was able to convert on the offensive end and came up with big stops on the defensive end.

Balanced scoring was a key for Sinclair with 4 players in double figures. Leading the way were SO Amanda White with 19 points, FR Chelcie Gullett with 12 points, SO Morgan Davis with 10 points, and FR Chelsea Thompson with 10 points. Also contributing were FR Jessica Pierre with 6 points and 10 rebounds, FR Jana Gross with 6 points and 8 assists, SO Alisha Grieves with 6 points, and FR Jessica Myers with 1 point.

The win puts the team at 10-9 on the season. They will travel to Edison on Wednesday for an OCCAC game.
