Kirkland, OH – Sinclair (15-6/4-3) Men dropped to 4-3 in the OCCAC after losing on the road at Lakeland C.C. 67-75. After trailing by 1 at the half, Lakeland grew a lead to 5 points by the ten minute mark of the second half. On a play with about 8 minutes to go in the game, Lakeland’s Nate Barnes (game high 31 points) scored and was fouled by Sinclair’s Jonathon Tate. Tate also received a technical foul resulting in a three point play and two additional free throws pushing Lakeland’s lead from 5 to 10. Sinclair worked the lead back down to 5 with a minute to go in the game when Kevin Vest hit a three point shot for Sinclair. Lakeland got hot from the free throw line and iced the game for the home team. Leading the way in scoring was Jonathon Tate (17 pts) and Mark Anderson (15 pts / 8 rebs) as well as Kevin Vest (15 pts). Sinclair now stands at 15-6 on the season and will return to action Wednesday on the road to take on Edison at 7:30pm.
