M Basketball Sinclair 75 Columbus State 90

2/4/2009

A showdown between two of the top 15 teams in the nation as the 13th ranked Tartan Pride took on OCCAC rival and #6 Columbus State would prove to be a classic. The Tartan Pride down by 18 with nine minutes to play, mounted a furious comeback and cut the lead to six. But Columbus State showed why the number six ranking is justified. Continuing to push the ball up the floor and breaking the full court pressure to win 90-75.

All-American and the Nation's second leading scorer, Mark Anderson (Dayton Dunbar) led the way with 21points and Freshmen Kevin Vest (Carroll) added 17 points with 10 rebounds. The Tartan Pride fall to 4-2 in the OCCAC and 15-5 overall.

Next home is February 14 as Sinclair hosts Cuyahoga in the annual Kay Yow - Pink Zone Game to raise funds in the fight against Breast Cancer. Game time is 2:00 PM.
