Lady Pride Down Cuyahoga in OCCAC Action

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women's Basketball team hosted Ohio Community College Athletic Conference rival Cuyahoga today on the campus of Sinclair. After a sluggish first half in which The Pride had a one point lead and shooting just 30 percent from the field, shot 85 percent from the free throw line and would hang on for a 80-64 win.

Leading the way for The Lady Pride was Emily Frey (Versailles) with her second consecutive double-double, 20 points and 12 rebounds. Haleigh Hickenbottom (West Liberty Salem) had 14 points along with Chelcie Gullett (Xenia) with 12 and the 2009 NJCAA Assist Leader, Jana Gross (Bellbrook) with 10 points. The Lady Pride now stand 13-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

Sinclair will return to action at home on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM as they take on Lorain for Sinclair's Coaches vs. Cancer Game. Sinclair basketball is played at the Physical Activities Center in Building 8, on the campus of Sinclair.
