This summer, the sun is shining brightly on the arts at Sinclair Community College. The newest issue of Sinclair360 is out and covers a breadth of "inspiring the artist" and "perfecting the craft" topics.
Fine and performing arts activities and classes should be embraced, even if you don't see yourself as an artist. The arts provide valuable lessons that can be related and applied to any career path. Of course, if you do see an artistic profession in your future, you will find yourself in good company as a Sinclair graduate. The college’s alumni have gone on to work in a variety of artistic venues, like theatres and museums, while some work as graphic designers, photographers and even restaurant owners.
With more fine and performing arts graduates than any other college in the region, Sinclair has always actively partnered academic instruction with the arts. "We take pride in providing our students the inspiration to reach for their dreams and the skills they need to perfect their crafts," reminds Sinclair360 editor Natasha Baker. "We help connect them to local arts and culture group, to network and learn from working professionals."
